Partial translation patch (0.5a) for Natsuiro High School – Seishun Hakusho [PS3]

494890_front

Here’s a partial dirty translation for Natsuiro High School (BLJS10273) for easy navigation of the game. Been hacking this game since 06/2015, I’ve probably finished most stuffs since mid 2016 aside from dialog and emails. A lot of stuff happened (life), like new projects (PS3/vita) and my cfw ps3 breaking down, and I’m not even a translator to properly translate the dialogs lols, which lead me to set this project aside for many months. Enter 2017 and I decided just to release this as an alpha so others might enjoy this text heavy game. Might pick up this project again if RPCS3 able to emulate this game.

Please do take note that I’m not that an expert in rom-hacking, I can’t read Japanese, and English is not my primary language so some (or many.. i hope not) things might be off or incorrect. But if you are knowledgeable with Japanese or English proofreading and want to correct things or continue and take over the translation, don’t hesitate to contact me, I really need help on this.

For bug reports, just search froid_san or happydance on google send me a PM on those forums you find.

What’s Translated:
Basically Most In-game menu stuffs and Images like
Main menu
Gallery
Freemode (aside Facial expressions)
Status Screen
Options
Tutorials
Save Data
Signage images
Fishing interface/item/description
Quest info/requirements
Items Name/Description

Whats not translated:
Dialog scripts (including choices)
Phone email’s
Maybe small stuffs I’ve over looked and didn’t noticed

Additional Notes:
This is compatible with ODE and CFW PS3
Delete old game data (if available) before running the patched game
Original base game npg10.cpk hash should be: 8aba1e77972bba7f64086782b69018b3
Patched game npg10.cpk hash should be: 4441c6f4980b26facf6b576eff5796ae

How to patch game [using PC]:
1. Extract the contents of the patch(rar) inside the game directory and overwite the contents of PS3_GAME
2. Enter the game directory and run Patch_npg10.bat
3. After patching you’ll see npg10.cpk and npg10.cpk.orig inside the \PS3_GAME\USRDIR\DSC\Install\
npg10.cpk is the patched file and npg10.cpk.orig is the original file and will be your backup.

Partial translation patch for Hajime no Ippo: The Fighting! [PS3]

 443234_front

Here’s a partial dirty translation patch for Hajime no Ippo: The Fighting! (BLJS10295) that will help you get in the game quickly by translating the some essential text of the game.
Things translated:
Skill name’s
Skill definition’s
Finishing moves name’s
Tutorial’s
Some in-game menu’s
There are 3 files in this
1.) Hajime no Ippo (dirty translation patch – froid_san) ODE-CFW.rar
This is for the JB rip game that has a 1.00 eboot, it works for ODE and CFW PS3. Just replace the files using the one on this archive and don’t forget to make a backup of your game. Do not install game update after this.
2.) Hajime no Ippo (dirty translation patch – froid_san) 3.55
This if a PKG file that is used to patched the Game update 1.01, use this if your still on 3.55 CFW. Use your unmodified JB-rip, install the 1.01 Game update and install this PKG.
3.) Hajime no Ippo (dirty translation patch – froid_san) 4.XX
This is a PKG file that is used to patched the Game update 1.01, Works on 4.XX CFW PS3’s. Use your unmodified JB-rip, install the 1.01 Game update and install this PKG.
Note’s
this is just a a dirty translation since i’m not a translator nor belong to a hacking group, just a one man job using freely available tools and web translator so can’t guaranty the translation is accurate. BTW can’t manage to edit some images since they are swizzled or morton z-order or sumthing and from I’ve read is very difficult to figure out unless your a programmer…
Tested on my 4.50 Cobra ODE PS3 and Dying 4.66 CFW PS3 and also thanks to Sebastian James Bayonito for also testing the PKG package on his CFW PS3
Download the game update via aldo’s PS3 Game Update or equivalent and install the 3.55 or 4.XX patch after installing the 1.01 game update you don’t need the game update if your using the eboot 1.00 JB patch
Enjoy!!!

Full translation patch for Onechanbara Z kagura with Nonono! [PS3]

Full translation for Onechambara Z kagura with Nonono! (v0.985 10-17-2014)

204637_front
[What’s done]
• all system text are translated in English (aside from a two Kanji image on the move list, that i can’t edit and don’t know what image format it is)
• all game dialogue text are translated in my native language (Filipino) since I’m not that confident on my English since it’s not my primary language
• trophies are not translated (don’t know if that’s a good idea)
• all DLC items are translated
• patched to work on 3.55 and above (CFW/ODE)
• PS3UPDAT.PUP is dummied after patch for those still using 3.55 CFW
[Files hashes]
• Onechanbara Z kagura with Nonono! English v0.985 patch by froid_san.xdelta : 08a0ee907493c4b5d64b6440f00f36de
• Properly built original game ISO with IRD using Cobra ODE GenPS3iso v2.5 : 6717201019c8d2684f84c540f639c916
• Properly patched game ISO : 8d9006ad126b81b08504cae2f98a8806
[Patch instructions]
This instruction is assuming you properly rip your game using Multiman/Irismanager if you have a CFW PS3, 3k3y Ripper (PS3 game Ripper for PC) if you have it, or Rip it on Cobra ODE using the instructions at their support site if you have a OFW PS3 w/ ODE. If you properly rip your game, then all is well and it will pass all verification on the IRD and MD5. Never edit the PARAM.SFO, delete the PS3UPDAT.PUP or even run on multiman before you start the process of patching.
1. Build and ISO of the game using the included Cobra_ODE_GenPS3iso_v2.5
a. run genps3iso.exe.
b. select “Onechanbara Z – Kagura with NoNoNo!” (or whatever name you gave or it) game folder.
c. select where to save the game ISO (name the ISO to your liking).
d. select the IRD file.
e. wait for the ISO rebuild to finish.
2. verify the original game ISO md5 hash is exactly “6717201019c8d2684f84c540f639c916”
a. run HashMyFiles.exe.
b. drag and drop the ISO on the HashMyFiles window and wait for the MD5 hash to appear.
3. run xdeltaUI.exe.
a. select “Onechanbara Z kagura with Nonono! English v0.985 patch by froid_san.xdelta” file.
b. select “Onechanbara Z – Kagura with NoNoNo!” game ISO.
c. select where to save the patched game ISO (name the ISO to your liking).
4. verify the patched game ISO md5 hash is exactly “8d9006ad126b81b08504cae2f98a8806”.
5. Finished!!!!!
a. put the game ISO on PS3ISO folder and play if you have a cobra mixed CFW installed
b. extract the game ISO and place it on the GAMES/GAMEZ folder if you want to play on extracted JB format.
c. extract and Rebuild the game iso using Cobra_ODE_GenPS3iso if you want to play on Cobra ODE (for faster game data install).
d. extract and Rebuild the game iso 3k3y isotools if you want to play on 3k3y ODE.
***notes***
*** I don’t know if it’s a bug on Cobra_ODE_GenPS3iso_v2.5 or just my PC/HDD, but my fist 3 attempts on creating an ISO yielded different MD5 hash. But after that, all ISO I’ve rebuild are the same when i saved it on a different HDD.
*** the game sometimes bugs out on different places, even in the untouched Japanese version. Sometimes you’ll get stuck on a wall/floor, the barricades won’t disappear when you killed all the enemies, and switches won’t be activated. Just restart the chapter to resolve this, well those just happen to me once only once and getting stuck on a wall just happed on me twice.
*** do not install the 1.01 Game update since it will overwrite some game menu’s translation (store and item screen) and PS3 in game system menu’s/notification and restore it to Japanese. I don’t know what changes are in the game update, but the obvious one is the dialogue script. Maybe I’ll take look at it in the future.
*** sometimes scrolling text overlap with each other at the end of the sentence, just let it scroll once more and it will be properly displayed.
Here’s my contribution to the scene, please bear with me since English is not my primary language and it’s a one man translation hack. No links of illegal files or games here, Patch is made with xdelta and all tools used are free.
